Revealed!!! July 05, 2023 What Is It Wednesday

This week's What is it Wednesday was a close up picture of Beautyberry aka Callicarpa americana.

This plant is a Florida Native and is well represented by its common name. Following these small pink flowers are green berries that eventually turn pinkish purple. While pollinators love the flowers, the birds certainly love the berries too. We even feed them to our chickens.
