This week's "What is it Wednesday" was a tricky one. It was none other than a species of Florida's state wildflower - Coreopsis Leavenworthii, common name Leavenworth's tickseed. This was especially tricky in that there are several different Coreopsis species have similar flowers. Florida recognizes all Coreopsis species as its state wildflower. They are all beautiful, easy to grow, readily self seeding flowering plants great for every landscape.
We had several participants this week and want to thank everyone who submitted a guess. If your guess was correct, please check your inboxes to see if you have been notified as the winner. We hope that everyone continues to participate, even if your answer is incorrect, because we donate money to non-profit organizations based on the level of participation.
Check back again next week for your chance to win!
See you.................................
