American Beautyberry is an awesome Florida native shrub. It is best grown as an understory plant and really benefits being surround by other plants it can prop up on. It will need the help when it gets loaded with berries in the fall. These berries are a favorite among birds and make great chicken food. You can also make a jam out of the berries.
