Elephants-Foot is a lesser known FL native Wildflower that is native to most of the southeaster United States. It is a short-lived perennial that flowers white and lavender blooms from spring to fall. In winters, it remains as an herbaceous looking plant before springing into blooms in the spring. Most of the foliage remains near the ground while flower heads can reach up to 2-2.5 feet tall. Many native bees and a wide variety of butterflies find the flowers attractive.
