A Florida native lantana that grows more upright and tall. Buttonsage has small white flowers that sometimes have pink. Like other lantanas it forms small purple berry like seeds pods that birds enjoy. We highly recommend the native lantanas in FL gardens instead of the invasive Lantana camera sold in most nurseries.
 
We like to grow Buttonsage as a hedge. Because it only has a mature height of 4-6 feet, it makes a great low hedge. You can also prune it to make a lower hedge. Pruning encourages bushy growth that helps it fill in. It also makes a great plant to intermix with passionvine. The flowers of Buttonsage attract adult butterflies while the passionvine hosts the zebra longwing and gulf fritillary butterflies.

Naturally found in South Florida and coastal counties as far north as Brevard County.
Can be grown in full sun or part shade. Blooms best in full sun
Prefers dry sandy soils or any soil that is well draining
Tolerates drought.
