Bee Balm is a Florida Native Wildflower that is absolutely loved by pollinators. If you want to attract bees to your garden than this is the plant for you. It blooms in late spring which makes it perfect for bringing unique color to the garden when other plants are starting to lose steam. Bee balm is listed as a short-lived perennial but it self seeds itself well. It enjoys soils with regular watering but tolerates occasional drought well.

Bee Balm is edible and used as a spice. While one its common name has "mint" in it, we think the fragrance and taste is more similar to oregano.

Native to eastern and midwest United States.

Natural range in FL includes the entire state besides the southernmost counties.

Enjoys full sun but can tolerate some shade

Prefers sandy well drained soil and is drought tolerant.

Can be grown in zones 8-10A
